I must say, I was surprised at the educational opportunities of the recent blog tour. There are so many good blogs out there. I had no idea they would be so provocative, informative, and insightful. This has given me inspiration to get back to my writing.
I have several books in the works, but only one that bears promise for the near future. I’m working on a book I call, BROTHERS. It’s an autobiographical novel about myself and my brother, enduring the plague of sibling rivalry, a stoical family, resentment, success, and failure. That’s a lot, but that’s what makes for an interesting story. Of course, it’s not actual autobiography, but much of it will be based on my experiences.
The only problem I have with it is allotting enough time to work on it. My wife and I are still in the process of renovating our house. We have lived in the thing for over 30 years, built it ourselves, and never really finished it. We are just now installing a ceiling in the downstairs. We have nearly half of the dining area finished, and my wife has grown so used to seeing exposed joists, plumbing and electrical wire that I think she is disappointed in the result. I’ll be able to tell more about her mood when the entire ceiling is complete.
Until next time, happy writiing.
